BPS Pati Regency took part in the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey Officer (SEP) Training for Legal Entity Agricultural Companies (UPB) & Other Agricultural Businesses (UTL) held by BPS Central Java Province in a hybrid manner on May 27-28 (online) and 30-31 May (offline). The training was opened by the Head of Central Java Province BPS, Dadang Hardiwan on Monday (27/5).
The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey is a series of activities for the 2023 Agricultural Census. The main objective of the SEP is to obtain data on economic aspects of agricultural business units, including income, expenditure, cost structure, and welfare indicators of agricultural business units in Indonesia. Apart from that, SEP also provides basic data to monitor one of the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs).
Through the 2024 SEP, the economic condition of agriculture in Indonesia can be known and it is hoped that this can be carried out periodically according to the recommendations of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
This training was attended by 4 prospective officers from BPS Pati Regency, consisting of 3 (three) people as field data collectors and 1 (one) person as supervisor/inspector. SEP 2024 will be held from 1 to 30 June 2024.
The successful implementation of this survey really requires support, collaboration and strong commitment from all parties, both from field officers (enumerators and supervisors) and teams at district/city BPS to carry out their tasks optimally. Apart from that, the participation of respondents is also very important, providing honest and accurate answers will produce quality data so that the policies set by the government will be in line with needs in the agricultural sector and right on target.
