SeReaL (Sectoral Statistics Literacy Monday) this time discusses EPSS.

EPSS or Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation is a systematic assessment process carried out by BPS to measure the level of maturity of statistical implementation in government agencies.

The main objectives of EPSS are:

- Ensuring quality, accurate, up-to-date, integrated, and accountable sectoral statistical data.

- Measuring the Level of Maturity of Sectoral Statistics

- Ensuring Data Quality

- Building a Strong National Statistics System (SSN)

- Encouraging Good Data Governance

The result of EPSS is the Statistical Development Index (IPS), which is an indicator that describes the level of maturity of sectoral statistics implementation in an agency.
