Central Java Province BPS Holds Strategic Indicator Release on March 3, 2025

Central Java Province BPS held the Strategic Indicator Release on Monday, March 3, 2025, presented by the Head of Central Java Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih. The release was conducted online via Zoom meeting and YouTube streaming.

In February 2025, Central Java's year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation was 0.08 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.75. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate for February 2025 was 0.78 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.23 percent.

The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in Central Java for February 2025 was 113.01, down by 0.55 percent. The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for February 2025 was 115.81, decreasing by 1.15 percent.

The number of air transport passenger arrivals (debarkation) in Central Java in January 2025 was 136,599 people, a decrease of 3.62 percent compared to December 2024. Meanwhile, the number of sea transport passenger arrivals (debarkation) in January 2025 was recorded at 18,614 people, down 26.57 percent compared to December 2024.

In 2024, the harvested rice area reached 1.55 million hectares, with rice production totaling 8.89 million tons of dry milled grain (GKG). When converted to rice for population consumption, the rice production in 2024 amounted to 5.11 million tons.

The harvested area of shelled corn in 2024 reached 412.34 thousand hectares, increasing by 41.29 thousand hectares or 11.13 percent compared to the harvested area in 2023, which was 317.05 thousand hectares.
