Launch of the Ground Check for National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN)

After the handover of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) to the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment, the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas), and the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) on February 20, 2025, today (February 26), the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and BPS officially launched the Ground Check in a hybrid event at the National Statistics Command Centre (NSCC) BPS.

The launch was attended by the Head of BPS, Provincial/District/City Social Services Offices, and Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators from across Indonesia. The event was opened by the Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, and the Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and was attended by officials from both institutions. Following the launch, ground check training for DTSEN was conducted for 33,603 PKH facilitators in 1,120 online classes, led by instructors from BPS at the central, provincial, and district/city levels.

According to Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025, BPS is responsible for managing DTSEN for statistical activities, including data updating and security. "DTSEN is the result of strong collaboration among multiple stakeholders. This collaboration must continue and evolve because the Presidential Instruction does not only mandate BPS to receive data and establish DTSEN but also to manage and update it," said Amalia in her speech.

The data updating process is carried out by Kemensos through field verification (ground check) conducted by PKH facilitators. BPS supports this process by providing training for PKH facilitators.

Saifullah Yusuf, commonly known as Gus Ipul, expressed his appreciation to BPS for their efforts in realizing DTSEN. "My highest appreciation goes to the Head of BPS and the entire team for preparing this. DTSEN marks a new milestone for Indonesia," said Gus Ipul. He further emphasized that this step strengthens contributions to public welfare, ensuring that social assistance is accurately targeted.
