The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of BPS' routine surveys which is carried out twice a year, namely every February and August. In general, Sakernas aims to provide sustainable basic employment data. In particular, to obtain estimated data on the number of working people, the number of unemployed and other indicators as well as their development at the national, provincial and other districts/cities levels.
Through this survey, employment indicators are produced, such as the open unemployment rate (TPT), labor force participation rate (TPAK), employment opportunity rate (TKK), working population, etc.
Data collection on sample households will begin from 8 to 31 August 2024. Field supervision is also carried out to monitor the quality of data collected and help resolve problems encountered by enumerators during data collection.
Data collection is carried out using CAPI mode, namely with the FASIH application.
Accurate and high-quality Sakernas data will certainly be a strong basis for policy making at the national level, especially regarding the employment sector.
