Indonesia's Trade Balance Remains in Surplus

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released a portrait of the development of inflation, exports and imports, and other strategic data today (2/6). Indonesia's trade balance again recorded positive performance. BPS reported that Indonesia's goods trade balance throughout the January-April 2025 period had a surplus of US$11.07 billion, an increase of US$0.95 billion compared to the same period the previous year.
"This performance was supported by exports reaching US$87.36 billion, higher than imports of US$76.29 billion," explained BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, Pudji Ismartini, at a press conference at the BPS Office.
