BPS Attends a Hearing Meeting with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI)

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) attended a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). In addition to BPS, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) were also present. The meeting agenda discussed the efficiency of ministry/institution spending in the implementation of the 2025 State Budget (APBN) on February 13.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chair of Commission X, Esti Wijayanti. "BPS, BRIN, and Perpusnas RI must be able to optimize the budget efficiently without compromising the quality of public services and the designated priority programs," Esti said.
Agreeing with Esti's statement, the Acting Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, stated that BPS would maximize and optimize the existing budget through various preparations and activities this year, including preparations for the 2026 Economic Census, the Intercensal Population Survey, and routine surveys such as Susenas. Despite the efficiency measures, she emphasized that BPS would continue to prioritize the provision of statistical data, employee salaries and performance allowances, as well as operational support for statistical data provision.
