SATRIA, for a better quality 2026 Economic Census

Head of the Central Java Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Endang Tri Wahyuningsih released the SATRIA (Map Scraping for Accurate Information) application on Friday, January 31 2025. SATRIA is a Central Java Province BPS innovation in utilizing big data to prepare for the 2025 Economic Census. SATRIA will collect data and information on economic business actors based on Points of Interest (POI) available on Google Maps.

SATRIA will produce a directory of economic business actors including business name, business address, telephone number, website, type of business and business coordinates. By utilizing the digital map of the BPS statistical working area (wilkerstat), data and information on economic business actors can be detailed down to the smallest Local Environmental Unit (SLS) level, namely the Neighborhood Unit (RT). SATRIA will be used by all Regency/City BPS in Central Java in order to compile a prelist of economic business actors in each district/city.
