Still in the series of Statistical Literacy activities for students. The second day of literacy was still being held at SMAN 1 Pati, which was attended by all class XI students with a total of approximately 432 people.
The event was opened by the Head of BPS Pati Regency, Bob Setiabudi. In his speech, Bob conveyed the importance of statistical data both in everyday life and in national development. Then continued with remarks from the Deputy Principal for Public Relations, Palita Ruhamaningtyas.
On the second day, statistical literacy material was delivered by Decy Restyan Damayanti. Several things were conveyed related to statistics, duties and functions of BPS, how to collect data, BPS statistical products and their benefits, how to get BPS products, and data presentation.
Furthermore, information regarding the BPS official school, STIS Statistics Polytechnic was also conveyed by interns from PolstatSTIS.
The event was packaged in a relaxed atmosphere, questions and answers/discussions and interspersed with interesting games. Of course, the committee has prepared many prizes for the students.
With this literacy, it is hoped that it can equip students with new knowledge and skills in the field of statistics. Apart from that, it can also open students' eyes and minds about the important role of data in decision making.
