In order to prepare for ST2023 processing activities, the first stages in pre-computer activities are Receiving Batching (RB) and Editing Coding (Edcod). Receiving (receiving) and batching (grouping), namely the process of receiving documents as a result of enumeration and grouping them into several groups as needed.
While Editing Coding includes the activities of the inspection process, correcting entries in the event of an error and coding the document in accordance with the established editing/coding rules. The results of editing coding greatly affect the smoothness of the subsequent processing which ultimately is the quality of the data. Various information that is considered dubious should have been detected since editing coding was carried out. The emphasis in editing the coding of the ST2023 document is checking the number, completeness and consistency of entries in the ST2023 L1 and ST2023 L2 lists.
RB and Edcod officers are statistical partners who have previously undergone recruitment selection and attended training for RB and Edcod officers. Receipt of entry documents through SIPMEN (Document Receiving Information System).
To improve the quality of RB and Edcod results, an evaluation of the Edcod results is routinely carried out as a guide in the next Edcod process, which is carried out by the Edcod supervisor.
